Bengtson and Associates, PC was founded in 1999 by Tamra S. Bengtson, CPA with the goal of taking care of small business differently than most accounting firms. She wanted to treat them like family. Her clients aren't just another file in the cabinet; they are friends and people she cares about.

Tamra’s philosophy has seen Bengtson & Associates, PC through the last 10 years of ups and downs in the economy, and it will continue to serve as the keystone of the business.

Beyond her fondness for numbers, Tamra is a problem-solver. She thrives on helping her clients make sense of numbers, which translates to business success for the client and for Bengtson & Associates, PC.

Tamra’s personal, hands-on approach sets the tone for the firm. It’s not enough to be friendly and accurate. It’s also about providing easy access and no-dread deadlines, establishing trust, and delivering on the service she promises.

A native of Hastings, Nebraska, Tamra is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. There, she earned a degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. After five years with a Big Six accounting firm, Tamra opened Bengtson & Associates, PC in 1999.

She’s not only an accountant and business owner, but also the mother of four active children. Her husband, Rob, who holds a degree in computer science and engineering, is the IT manager for the firm.
